Quality Control/Inspection Technician

Scope of Position:
All-Fill’s Quality Control/Inspection Technician performs final inspection before our machines are shipped to the customer and documents the checkout procedure.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Compare assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, shop orders, and specifications to assembled machine.
• Inspect, test, and measure recently assembled machine to make sure up to customer specifications.
• Ensure machine components function properly and machine is assembled correctly.
• Determine whether machine is ready to ship to end user or if changes must be made prior.
• Completes documentation necessary for the inspection of the newly assembled machines.
• Completes Factory Acceptance Test upon customer request.
• Reports any changes that had to be made prior to shipping to engineering for proper documentation. 

Competencies:
• Ability to or willingness to learn to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to or willingness to learn to read wiring diagrams, use voltmeter, and make wiring changes if necessary.
• Willingness to learn to set up and operate machinery to ensure it meets customer specifications.
•Willingness to learn the mechanical and technical knowledge of All-Fill’s product, so to be able to work on our high-end industrial packaging equipment.
• Ability to or willingness to learn to load PLC programs and upload software onto circuitry boards.
• Great verbal and written communication and customer relations skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
• Detail oriented and results driven.
• Great organizational skills.
• Ability to operate office related equipment, such as computers, calculator, scanner, and copier.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Once QC is working at All-Fill, they will be provided a license to install and modify Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation software.
                                                                                                                                    
Supervisory Responsibility:
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
                                                                                                                                     
Work Environment:
Working 100% of the time in a manufacturing facility setting. Subject to noise from machinery used from time to time. Exposed to customer products when operating and testing machinery.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overtime required as business needs dictate.

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, or mechanical assembly process a plus.

Service Technician

Scope of Position:
An All-Fill Field Service Technician will spend 40-60% of their time traveling to customer facilities. A Service Tech will work closely with customers to satisfy any needs they may have with All-Fill equipment onsite. When a service tech is not on the road, they have “in-house” responsibilities in All-Fill’s facility.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits.
  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and training.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Fielding service-related phone calls.
  • Cooperate with engineering and QC to share information across the organization.
  • Assisting assembly department in building machines.
  • Programing components for spare parts orders.
  • Preparing and running machine FAT.
  • Trouble shooting and preparing a newly built machine.

 

Competencies:

An All-Fill Field Service Technician must have an in-depth understanding of all All-Fill’s product offerings. They must have proper product handling experience, be well-versed with customer relations, have the mechanical and technical knowledge to be able to work on high-end industrial packaging equipment, the physical ability to work on the machines, and the ability to travel to customer’s facilities all over the world.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A passport is required for all service technicians as there are occasions where they must travel outside of the United States. A driver’s license is required as the technician may need to drive to customer’s facility, the airport, and rent a car. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and a degree from a technical college or trade school is preferred. Once a technician is working at All-Fill they will be provided a license to install and modify Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation software.                                                                                                                           

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities other than ensuring that our customer’s employees are operating All-Fill’s machinery properly and safely when on a service call.

 

Work Environment:

A Service Technician will be subject to many different work environments over the course of their career. They will be very familiar to All-Fill’s manufacturing facility as that’s where they will be based out of. They will also be exposed to our customer’s facilities, environments, and products. These workplace environments and products include, but are not limited to, industrial sectors within the agricultural, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and plenty of other industries with packaging needs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop, photocopiers, and smartphones.

 

Physical Demands:

There are plenty of occasions when a service tech will be required to perform heavy lifting on our equipment. They also must be able to endure long hour days at customer facilities, jet lag, and travel both domestically and internationally. A service tech will often be subject to high-stress environments when customers rely on them to help meet their intense production demands and requirements.

  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.

  • Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying.
  • The travel required for this position is 40-60%.

Assembler

All-Fill Inc. is currently seeking an Assembler for our line of machines. This candidate will be assembling machines from start to finish, in a fast-paced work environment. 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble machinery.
  • Utilize hand-held tools to assemble equipment.
  • Troubleshoot various issues that arise with machines.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • May require cleaning and inspecting parts and the disassembly of returned units.
  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Occasionally perform final inspections.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well independently and as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
